Jason Carter

As Ranger Marcus Cole on Babylon 5, Jason Carter endeared himself to audiences.   Jason has also had roles in 3rd Rock from the Sun, VIP and Beverly Hills, 90210.  He also conducts acting classes - The Fundamentals of Acting - and will be offering a class at our June event.

James Horan

James Horan has a lengthy resume including various roles on various Star Trek series (Star Trek: the Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Enterprise) as well as roles on series like VIP, Charmed and The Commish.  Even if you don't recognize his face, you'll probably recognize James' voice from myriad video games like The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Gimli/Boromir), Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords and EverQuest II as well as the animated series Roughnecks: The Starship Troopers Chronicles.  James has a role in The Visitation a feature film which should be released later in 2005.  James is also active in live theatre and enjoys entertaining audiences with his cabaret act.

Stan Kirsch

Although versatile actor Stan Kirsch is best known as Richie on Highlander: The Series, he started his career at age 4 as a Campbell soup kid.  Stan has played such diverse roles as an abusive husband on Family Law, a wistful would-be suitor on Love Boat: The Next Wave, a Washington newspaper reporter on First Monday and a military lawyer on JAG.   Last year, Stan's comedy short (which Stan wrote, directed, produced and appeared in) Straight Eye: The Movie was a hit with attendees.  This year, another independent film which features Stan - Shallow Ground - will premier in the UK, France, Russia and Thailand the same weekend as Fan Odyssey.  It will be released on DVD on June 28, 2005.  Although his teaching and coaching activities keep him busy, Stan hopes to branch out into directing in the future.

Nicholas Lea

Canadian actor Nicholas Lea is known to many fans as Alex Krycek from the long-running series The X Files, but he has appeared in many other projects.   After X Files, Nick went on to star as Victor Mansfield in John Woo's Once a Thief.  He has had recurring roles on Sliders, NYPD Blue and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as well as making numerous guest appearances on shows such as Highlander: The Series, The Commish, Judging Amy and The Outer Limits.  2005: A Fan Odyssey marks Nick's first appearance with us.

Maureen Russell

Maureen Russell is the author of three critically acclaimed books: Highlander, The Complete Watcher's Guide, The Best of Highlander, The Book and Days of Our Lives: A Complete History of the Long-Running Soap Opera.  She has supplied out-takes and rare footage from Highlander to previous Fan Odyssey events.

Mark Ryan

As an actor, Mark Ryan may be best known as Nasir on Robin of Sherwood, but as a fight director and sword master, he's worked on or appeared in movies like Charlie's Angels, First Knight and King Arthur.  Mark plans to impart some of his sword expertise by teaching a sword class during 2005: A Fan Odyssey.

Bruce A. Young

Actor, swordmaster, fight correographer, director, producer Bruce A. Young is a busy man.   His numerous movie credits include Jurassic Park III, Enough and Undisputed.  On television, this talented gentleman has co-starred on The Sentinel and has appeared on Highlander: The Series and Becker.  He recently appeared on NYPD Blue as a man wrongly convicted.
